With tensions rising between the Jowston City-States and Highland, the war that subsequently breaks out is inevitable, formally called the Dunan Unification War. While Highland is the driving force that begins to hammer away at the alliance's major cities, the Holy Kingdom of Harmonia has not been idly watching, and while they do send some small assistance to Highland's efforts against the rebels, behind the scenes, their main focus is ever always set upon the search for any of the 27 True Runes.

Meanwhile, growing panic surges across Jowston, but the spirit of the people is not completely shattered as young heroes arise to take a stand, gathering forces to fend off the threat of Highland and its Mad Prince, Luca Blight.
