Throughout history, the Earth has been protected by 34 teams of super-powered warriors, known as the Super Sentai. When the Zangyack Space Empire's conquests brought it to this planet, the many Sentai teams united to fight off the threat in a conflict known as the Legend War. The Zangyack were eventually driven away from the planet, but at the cost of the powers of the Super Sentai. Many years later, a new Sentai team, carrying with them the powers of their predecessors, arrived on Earth- but rather than aiming to protect the planet, they came seeking the Greatest Treasure in the Universe which was said to be located there. This is the story of that crew of pirates, the Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger led by Captain Marvelous, as they search for Earth's treasure and encounter the legacy of the Super Sentai.
