Summary:
The cult of Shredded Riffs has come out of the woodwork to bring an end to the world. Can the rockin' heroes of the Multiverse come together to bring an end to the cult's Anthem of Evil before it's too late, and attain the title of Guitar Heroes?! Yes. Yes they can.

Great Mountains(#2789Rnt)

From purple mountains majesty to molehills alike, one can find just about any type of mountain here - and then some, as the massive mountain range covers almost every direction for thousands of miles. Hundreds of famous mountains are here, some ripped out of their rightful universes and deposited unceremoniously. Though many are snow-peaked caps and some extend several miles into the air, this place is not uninhabitable, as there remain many nooks and crannies that are habitable, as well as a sizable number of temperate - sometimes even idyllic - valleys here, many inhabited.

<Broadcast> A USA Federal Agent that is TOTALLY NOT Samuel L. Jackson hisses onto the broadcast channels. "This is US Paranormal Music Investigation Marshall, John D. Recently the Cult of Shredded Riffs has risen, and we can't stop them. Someone has to come and put a end to them before they can sing their Anthem of Evil and bring an end to our world!"

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "…."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Musical Evil."

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "….I am so there."
<IC-Broadband> Yulia sigh. "Could someone else save the world tonight?"

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "IT IS TIME FOR ME TO PUT A STOP TO THIS!"
<Union-IC> Ultra Magnus says, "Sounds right up your alley, Kiku."

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda is heard strumming up…An electric guitar. "…I'm on it."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "You know… That sounds like fun. I'll head on over as well."

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "CHIIZU! Fetch me the Pick of Destiny!" "Jiggly." <You got it.>
<Union-IC> Yuki Nagato says, "… interesting and… unique…"
<Union-IC> Kiden says, "… Kiku… what's going on?"

<X-Union-Chatter> Goggles says, "Oi, anyone hear that mayday?"

<IC-Broadband> Yulia says, "Thanks."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Think I might see what's going on."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka can be heard putting a large wooden object into another wooden object. "Nice night for koto music on a boat to stop some anthem of evil..

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Something called the Cult of Shredded Riffs trying to use music for /evil/."

<IC-Broadband> Remilia Scarlet says, "You all have fun. This sort of music, it is not for me."
<Union-IC> Kiden says, "… I'm almost afraid to say that you're probably the best qualified person to solve this issue that I know. Be careful, OK?"

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Don't worry Remilia. You still have that EWI synth recorder, right? I know I have one here on my boat…"

<Union-IC> Ultra Magnus | "Go forth young dudette, and rock their socks off FOR GREAT JUSTICE!" "… You're not helping, Blaster."

<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Where should we go?"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka plays a few notes on a synth-recorder. "Yep.. looks like this thing is working tonight.."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov straps something to his back. "Where is this now?"

The Cromartie High first years are having a picnic! Why in the middle of the Great Mountains?

"I can't believe we got lost in a baseball training camp again. This is all Hayashida's fault."

<X-Union-Chatter> Spiritia Rosenburg says, "So um, Roll. Are you free to meet? I'd like to get a better chance to know you, call it um…Curiosity I suppose."

Brrrrreeeooooooowwww! Dedleedeedeedleedeedle deeeeeoo! Ribbibbibibibidididdeeeee!!!

Guitar riffs… Loud and mind shattering, coming from the Nevada desert in Earth-8675309, as proclaimed by the coordinates sent out by John D.
Surrounded on three sides by a box canyon, it seems the cult of Shredded Riffz has set up a pentagram-shaped stage, fires lit at each of the five points of the star. The earth shakes with magical energies, crackling and rumbling as they seem to have begun this so called 'Anthem of Evil'. … Okay okay. So there's not a lot of actual magic. Not just yet. They only started. But goddamn are they loud. Turned up to 11 loud.

*VRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOM!* …That sound be the sound of the Motorcycle from Hell. AKA Dante's personal ride he can summon courtesy of Pandora, the Briefcase from Hell with 666 forms. …Handy. And of course, Dante's the one on it..Clad in his signature red coat, he pulls up to a stop near the 'Anthem of Evil' before he screeches his bike to a halt..

As he steps off it? It turns into a briefcase, which Dante attaches to a strap in his coat. Again! Handy.

"…Right." he shakes his head as he reaches to the back of his coat…Strapped to it? One hellish looking electric guitar. …Literally electric, lightning is dancing along the edges of it. "Let's make sure she's ready to rock out proper…" Tuneup hums can be heard from the thing as he starts to strum it up. When Dante needs to literally rock? …He brings out Nevan.
Takashi Kamiyama blinks and starts listening to the music while sipping some tea. "Ah. Sounds like one of those foreign outdoor concerts. What a great chance to partake in such a wholesome, culturally rich spectacle!" Now, if the Cromartie thugs weren't busy fighting and getting pissed. However, there is one man who pays special attention to this concert, splitting the crowd as he comes forth with his shirtless-ness and incredible facial hair.

Freddie.

He narrows his eyes, his entire body becoming surrounded by fighting ki!

Avel arrives with the rewloona, taking a small ship to the ground. On his back a custom les paul he just happened to pick up the day before. He has to cover an ear once he hears the awful massacre of the guitar. "What the hell are they doing to those poor instruments?"

No Anthem of Evil is complete without a reaper standing nearby. Komachi sails the Titanic across the air on a cloud of river fog straight from the Sanzu river to the place. She stood at the bow of her ship, scythe in hand as she peered across the stage area. "Doen't look too evil to me… That stage design reminds me of a few of Marisa's spell cards…" Komachi brought her boat down closer to everything, the shadow of the reaper that streached across the land starting to change now that she came closer to the ground.

"Where is all of that noise coming from?!" Renee's normally not someone to complain, but rock and roll, or any kind of loud music (even classical) is not her style.. even moreso if it's trying to end the world. She just recently appeared up in the skies, dress fluttering in the wind and an oversized book clutched under one hand, shut tightly. A faint crimson glow surrounds whole body and even clothes, even tinging her irises with the bloody look as she scans the horizon for the site… she has some speakers to unplug. Violently.

Something is approaching. Something that… Well. It just has an aura of pure /rock and roll/ surrounding it. A light illuminates the area around it, a light created by the psychic energy of a Pokemon, and through Flash. The figure of Pure Rock is also on a Pokemon. A Togekiss.

It is a girl standing on this Togekiss, a Japanese girl, with a fairly… Ridiculously attractive body. Her outfit is made to /emphasize/ this, too. She is wearing a leather bustier, with some nonfunctional pink buttons and trimming. A black skirt, that flows fairly heavily in the wind. A bit of pink trim on the top, and if someone would look, they might see a bit /more/ pink. She also is wearing a rather badass trenchcoat, unbuttoned. Her hair flows behind her, her eyes covered by dynamic shades. And in her left hand is a black and pink guitar, resting on the head of the Togekiss.

But, in her right, is something else. Various legends have been written about this. It is said that whoever weilds it will be granted great musical skill… And, Kiku already had spent all of the years of her life training in music. This gift, a request from Santa, to make her a better Rock Star. A truly amazing item.

The Pick of Destiny.

There is no smile on Kiku's face. Those who would dare to use rock for /evil/… Kiku Tokugawa can /not/ stand for this. Her Abra floats behind her, still illuminating her, and creating a psychic illusion of massive white wings on Kiku's back. For show.

Cromartie's Gorilla senses Freddie's FIGHTING SPIRIT and stands up too, standing right next to Freddie…

There is an electric guitar in his hand.

Okay, so not everyone on a bike can arrive with a Harley-like thundering engine. As a matter of fact, one arrives with the sound of a thin jet engine, appropriate since this vehicle is doing a few hundred kilometers per hour at a height of about eighty meters. It flies over, turning after a moment to circle back. Upon approach, it arrows down, still at speed, but pulls up at the last second to land in a gout of sand. The pilot parks the bike before removing her helmet to reveal short blonde and orange streaked hair. "Damn, that's loud, even from here!" Dorothy calls as she strips off her riding jacket, revealing a rather odd outfit underneath. She drops the jacket on the bike and pulls out what looks like a keyboard melded with a guitar frame, strapping it across her back. "So, what's the plan?" she yells as she heads over to those she might know. "Also have a bass, if we need extra rhythm!"

No dramatic entrance needed for one tiny high school girl from Nishinomiya North High. Nothing out of the ordinary to see here as the tiny lavender haired girl in her uniform and cardigan stands at the edge of a cliff, looking down at the ceremony below.

Yuki Nagato carried no lights, no weapons, or gear of any sort with her, nor was there any discernable means for her being here out in this middle of nowhere. Silently the Data Alien watches with an emotionless expression as the wind tosses her hair about.

<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, in a rather serious tone, "Those that would use the power of 'Rock' for evil… This is something I can /not/ stand for."
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "It is time…"
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "TIME TO UNLEASH THE HOLY POWER OF ROCK AND ROLL!"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Are you going to throw a rock at someone's head?"
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "So noisy!"
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "Where is all of it coming from?!"
Somewhere, Toph has connected.
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "Humans usually are.."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "I can throw something WORSE than a rock!"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "People's mouths."
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "No, Craig. I am going to use the Pick of Destiny."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph transmits a loud thump. "ROCK ON!"
<IC-Broadband> Kiden says, "My girlfriend's saving the Multiverse through Rock Music."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "Heck, yeah!"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Nice."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "That's what I"
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "That's what I'm talking about!"
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov sighs. "More like musical butchery on the other side…a shame too…"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright chuckles. "On a hot summer night, would you offer your throat to the Wolf of the Red Roses…"
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov chuckles. "Very nice reference there.."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "I like the classics."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda chuckles. "I wouldn't have it any other way…"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Alright everybody!"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Uh, I wouldn't offer my throat to a wolf on /any/ night."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "So, bass or keyboards?"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Let's take these 'Anthem of Evil' punks to school."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "TIME TO ROCK!"
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "Agreed."
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Wolves have teeth. And they like to use those teeth to bite things. Things like my throat."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph transmits a loud rupture in the earth. "I CAN ROCK, ALL RIGHT!"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "This is going to be interesting… Attempting to merge rock music with my koto…"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Yes, we got the rock pun already, /thank you/."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Haven't done music on this scale since those aliens."
<IC-Broadband> Amelia says, "Oi, don't be a such a spoilsport, Craig."
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "But it was the same pun, 3 times!"
<IC-Broadband> Amelia says, "Can't you lighten up and enjoy the music?"
<IC-Broadband> Kiden says, "… Craig, Listen to more Meatloaf."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Some people like a little nibbling, Craig."
<IC-Broadband> Ash's Squirtle says, "Squirtle." <Or vegetableloaf.>
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "wait… we have lots of stringed instruments.. but where is the percussion section?"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Not a fan of Vegetableloaf."
<IC-Broadband> Skidplate says, "Did someone say Drums?"
<Fachead> Reliant says, "I just played the Watchmen game demo. You can beat up inmates Rorschach and throw them into fire. All is well."
<IC-Broadband> Skidplate knucklecracks.
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph transmits drumming. More like rocks repeatedly pounding into the earth.
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Yes… I guess that works…."
<IC-Broadband> Skidplate says, "… that's certainly percussion."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph, you could almost feel the smirk. "You bet it is."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "lets see… now to set this device down and put the picks on my fingers."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "I can't play drums very well, so I'm going with what I can play."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "Leave it up to me!"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "All I've known is the Koto and this synth-recorder. and judging by the amount of guitars here, a synth recorder does not seem to fit in."
<IC-Broadband> Yuki Nagato says, "… I can provide lighting, keyboard synthesizer… and special effects. These would be… helpful?"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Sounds good to me lady!"

And so the new bandmates assemble. For the time being the crowds are wild. People fall over from how damn awesome some of the dramatic entrances are. Cries of astonishment as Freddie emanates his aura, Dante swoops in on his bike of badassitude, Avel descends from the skies like some divine space man with an electric guitar. The fucking Titanic drives along the desert no less, and the Mighty Pick of Destiny is wielded, and keyboard guitars are unsheathed like mighty viking axes from days of olde.
The arrival… Quiets the group on stage. The leather clad, white-face painted, spike wearing cultists staring at the arriving rival band that has come to challenge their supremacy.
"YOU DARE CHALLENGE US?!" The lead guitarist demands as his group readies themselves, setting their fingers in position to play their axes once more. And yet… Something is wrong. Their guitars… Are not standard electric guitars. However they are made of plastic, bear five buttons: Green, red, blue, yellow, and orange, a whammy bar and a strum bar.
They look oddly familiar.
"You could NEVER match up mettle with our metal!"

And so they resume playing. Truly beginning their Anthem of Evil!

BreeeaaaooowwwW! Deedleedeedleedeedleedeee Squeedlymeadliesqueadlymeadleeeeeee!!!!

c/‘~"Carry on my wayward sooooo~ooo~n! There’ll be peace when you are doo~ooo~ooo~ne~!"~c/`

… Kansas? Kansas is the Anthem of Evil?

< IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Add what you've got. We can make this work."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "Bring it!"

<OOC> Dante Sparda says, "……………………………."
<OOC> Dante Sparda says, "……..Oh that is it."
<OOC> Avel Koslov says, "…………………"
<OOC> Dante Sparda says, "These punks are so. Freaking. Dead."
<OOC> Dorothy Wayneright dies!
<OOC> Komachi Onozuka says, "oh hell no… Kansas…"
<OOC> Avel Koslov says, "very dead…"

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "….."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…These punks. Are. *Bleep*ing. Dead."
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph says, "…whoa."

<Broadcast> Cue up shredding guitar riffs… And then singing… c/‘~"Carry on my wayward sooooo~ooo~n! There’ll be peace when you are doo~ooo~ooo~ne~!"~c/‘
<IC-Broadband> Twelve years old, Toph, in the background, the drumming slows down…
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright snickers. "All that bluster, and they’re just dust in the wind."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang yells, in response to the shredding riffs, the following. "FREEBIRD!"
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "Heh. Heh. Heh."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang desynchs.
<IC-Broadband> Takashi Kamiyama says, "Ah. Xiang-sensei likes southern rock?"
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "…I think all the past rockstars are cartwheeling in their graves…"
<IC-Broadband> (Odd Accent,) Noh says, "… Maybe is to be gonig back to Xanth. Seeming to be saner /there/ than to be in Multiverse tonight.."
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "Uh…"
<IC-Broadband> Craig says, "I think one of his mind altering experiments got spilled on him."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "You know… I am not familiar with that song and somehow… I'm feeling rather offended by it…"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "We come all this way, almost on a Pilgrimage, out to the Wall, just to hear Carry On Wayward Son? Do they expect to pull Miracles out of Nowhere with this? They need a better song, or they'll end up with a Paradox."

Oh. Hell. No. They. Are. Not.

Dante is not happy to be hearing this anthem of evil. Because it is a horrid, horrid song. And it must be destroyed. Such an evil song…How can they COUNTER it?! There has to be a way. And yes, he's going to find it…That's why he begins to start up a little warmup, while he waits for a song to be decided upon by the others here…That's when something might be noticed. When he plays music? Lightning strikes around him. And for that matter…On the stage. While it doesn't HIT the anthem of evil players directly? It seems Dante is intent on intimidating these little punks. "You guys…Think YOU know how to rock?! Time to take you guys to school! LET'S DO THIS!" RIFF! …Woah, LOT of lightning that time.

SUMMARY - Dante Sparda «< - Dante plays some warmup riffs. Lightning strikes. Oooooh~

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "RIGHT! someone give us a lineup already! We need some rocking music to counter this!"
<IC-Broadband> Kiku calm and serious, "Iron Man. Trogdor. Immigrant Song."
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "Let's do this."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…I can do these."
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "…Sigh. Where's my Mina Mongoose albums.."

Avel does the same as dante, tuning up his chosen instrument. He checks the strings, and waits for the incomin playlist.

<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "HAven't ever heard that second song…"
<IC-Broadband> Khrima says, "Don't worry. It's easy to pick up."
<IC-Broadband> Khrima misalt
<IC-Broadband> Kiku said that.
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I am familiar with them. I spend enough time playing around on the Internet in higan to learn them."

"Oh. Hell. No." Dorothy stares at the 'Anthem' rockers, playing Kansas. "That's not evil. Anthem, yes, not evil. I at least expected a little Priest or maybe AC/DC," she says as she goes back to her bike. She keeps the portable keyboard on her back, but pulls out a solid looking bass. "Need a bit of rhythm, I think. How about something a bit old school?" She waits for Dante to finish his series of riffs while she hooks up, then slams out a heavy chord. "Give us a beat and a we're on, bossman."

Freddie reaches a hand out. The thugs of Cro-High obey and bring him his broken microphone stand. His fighting spirit is now over the roof!

<IC-Broadband> Takashi Kamiyama says, "All this time I've kept wondering why Freddie keeps that mic stand with him…"

Komachi, being an envoy of death, is actually rather offended by the so called song of evil being some lame song by Kansas. She raises her Scythe up into the air and steps off the edge of the Titanic. Floating down from her ferriage of death, she, her koto, and a fairy with an electric flute come to where Dante is. The koto seems to shine with a deathly glow, as if touched by the twilight of the afterlife. The flute as well also issues forth a glow of the pallor of death. Then again, this shouldnt be much of a surprise. Komachi is one of many death goddesses after all. Komachi's hands shimmered with the reflecting light on metal picks on her fingers. "I say we show them some music that can really wake the dead."

Kiku stays on her Togekiss, frowning. She simply looks forward, towards the people… Well. This song is not what she expected them to start with. But, no matter. There are various ways to counter this. And, with the group as a whole working together, they will be able to beat these things… Easily.

Kiku can /sense/ the other Rock power coming from the peopel around her. A smile finally comes to her face as she realizes the support present. She speaks, calmly, to the group as a whole. She does a few warm up riffs herself. Then, without looking at her allies, she speaks up.

"Iron Man. Trogdor. Immigrant Song."

The set has been stated and called. She first focuses on using on of her powers, to try and slow down the enemies's power. Seh has Sound Psionics. And as such, she is trying to outright /silence/ her enemies. Her Jigglypuff comes out of its Pokeball, drums with it…. And with her and the Jigglypuff, she begins to play the intro to Iron Man. Using the Pick of Destiny.

<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Got the list. Ready when you are."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov releases a full strum of his guitar. "LEt's do this…"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka plays a rather mean riff that almost seems old school evil on her koto. "Ready when you are."

Renee looks about confusedly, still glowing with that eerie red aura up in the skies, dress and hair fluttering about wildly. The book's slowly drawn before her and flipped open— it seems to be able to hover in the air of its own voltion, and flips a few hundred pages in as Renee gestures, then places a finger against her cheek. This was incredibly puzzling.

But with a few waves of her arms and a mumbled incantation, a sound-dampening bubble appears around her. This way she could hear the music, but it wouldn't DEAFEN her sensitive ears…

As Dante begins to play and the lightning crashes about, one might notice that the surrounding canyon has gotten just a tad darker, and up in the sky various colored lights appear much akin to the stage lights one expects at a rock concert. Right now they don't do anything too crazy, but a single spotlight falls to illuminate Dante as he plays. Also not very noticeable yet is that from the cliff tops of the box canyon clouds of fog have gathered and pour over the cliff sides to set the mood for this Rock'n'Roll challenge.
As each of the elites ready their weapons …er… instruments of choice, the lighting in the sky adjusts and grows to accommodate them. Freddie gets a /Dramatic/ spotlight that's just a bit brighter than everyone else, and one might also notice the acoustics of the canyon have just been bolstered, possible in the Elite's favor.

<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "Th-this rock music is very weird!"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright callss over a heavy bass chord, "This is not a test! This is rock and roll!"

Avel joins in as well, playing as well. He also catches the beat of what was to come. He smirks as it's been a while sinse he actually played their first song, but he knew it well.

Komachi seems to perform the impossible on her koto. Matching the heavy riffs for Iron Man with the lower notes of her koto along with making the song seem even more powerful by its strange appearance. Her hands fly across the koto, almost impossibly keeping up with the song and performing the notes with the perfection of thousands of years of practice. Her hands making the koto strangely sound like a heavy bass guitar, she matches the guitarists with her playing of the song. Komachi's fairy friend, however, just floats there with the electronic flute, thinking it useless at the moment.

What does every bass player need? Sunglasses and cigarette, and Dorothy puts those in place. Well, the 'cigarette' actually smells like chocolate to anyone who gets close enough, but that's not important right now. What is important is the music, starting with the primitive beat of Iron Man, then the echoing guitar chords. At the right moment, she hammers the strings of her instrument, adding another heavy bass line to support the others. The thin woman starts rocking back in forth with the rhythm, orange hair whipping around her head.

<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh is quiet a moment, then… "… Is to feeling strange after that.."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh then asks, "… Exuro… Cannot tell being. Am I to looking… What is word… Pee Gee?"

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "…This group. With all of us, here, together… With the sheer musical /energy/ within us all. These Evil Rockers… They stand no chance."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "That other man here, with some facial hair…. I sense something special in his music skills. It is something… Special."
Somewhere, Psyber has disconnected.
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "With him, and the Pick of Destiny I hold… With those alone we can beat them, I think. This will be musical /overkill/."

<IC-Broadband> Exuro says, "…Yeah, but usually that implies you've got some ah… questionable content and well, that just opens a whole nother can of worms this channel'd have too much fun with, so we won't go there."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh says, "… Oh. I was.. not to be sure what to be saying." She says, with an embaressed tone, then, "it is not to be lik I can ask, 'Do I have the big bazoombas yet', yes? No?""
<IC-Broadband> Exuro says, "Yeah, well."

They're serious… Clearly this is to be an epic rock-off of great proportions. The group beginning their practice riffs and prepare for the mighty match of the century.
The lineup is chosen.
The music begins.
The skies grow dark.
SPOTLIGHTS.
Though the attempts to silence the Cultists is met with defiance, As Sabbath And Kansas collide. The white-face painted cultists scowl as they are challenged. As their Anthem of Evil is met with pure unabashed Metal. And so they keep singing, fingers tapping the fret buttons on their Guitar Hero controllers, the leader strums his whammy bar wildy causing notes to wobble.

c/‘~"Lay your weary head to reee~eeest~ Don’t you cry no more!"

And so they lead into the intro of the song, jamming along. "Once I rose above the noise and confusion… just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion… I was soaring ever hiiigherrrr~ but I flew too high…"~c/`

<Broadcast> The Cult of Shredded Riffs keeps playing Kansas, c/‘~"Lay your weary head to reee~eeest~ Don’t you cry no more! Once I rose above the noise and confusion… just to get a glimpse beyond this illusion… I was soaring ever hiiigherrrr~ but I flew too high…"~c/`

<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh says, "… Am I still pretty to you?"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says over heavy guitar and bass chords, "Babe, be as pretty as you want to be. Don't let a man define you."

Kiku smiles, looking forward. Well. This is frankly amazing. This is a battle of musical talents that will be going down in Multiversal History. As the songs collide, Kiku can just /feel/ the energy coming from everyone. And as the enemy finishes their song, the heroes need to prepare their next one, too. Kiku, who is /somewhat/ trying to take the lead with this mission, speaks up to her group, softly.

"We do not have time for rest. We will have to push on. Despite our combined skills… They are chosing songs of /great/ power. So…"

She begins to play the next song: Trogdor. She expects someone to take up the lead vocals… This song. It is particularly powerful, particularly great at repelling other music. And if it cuts an opening for them to use… The group can finish them off with the next song.

They will have to strike /hard/ with their musical powers, though. Kiku works hard with her psionic skills, to soften the enemy music, and to increase the harmony between her and her allies.

Avel struggles with the song a bit, but his skills prove to aid him now more than ever, striking the chords with expert skill.

<IC-Broadband> Exuro says, "Noh, you could turn purple and you'd still be pretty. So long as you are happy with how you look, I am."

Komachi reached up and grabbed the microphone. "I think it's time we turned up the heat." Then, she waited for the guitars to start before belting out the lyrics of the next song.

"TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!! TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!
Trogdor was a man… I mean, he was a dragon man. Or maybe he was just a dragon…

But he was still TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!
TROGDOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Burninating the countryside, burninating the peasants,
Burninating all the peoples
And thier thatched-roofed COTTAGES!!!
THATCHED ROOFED COTTAGES!!!!"
The music continues through the guitar solos as Komachi just stands there, her eyes glowing red. Finally she puts the mic to her mouth again and continues the song. "When all the land is in ruin, and burnination has forsaken the countryside, only one man will remain… My money's on
TROGDOOOOOOOOR!!!!!TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!
And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIGHT!!!"

<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh … murmurs, softly, "… Then is good." A happy purr-like sound, and a pounce.
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!! TROGDOOOOOOOOOR!!!!! And the Trogdor comes in the NIIIGHT!!!"
<IC-Broadband> Exuro says, "Aah! HEy, warn a guy when you do that."
<IC-Broadband> Exuro heh. "Yeah, it's fine, Noh. And tomorrow, shopping."
<IC-Broadband> Kiku coldly, "There is no time for warning, at the moment. We are in a /literal/ battle of the bands."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh giggles cutely. Titteru teenage chick-style. Then agrees, "Shopping, tomorrow. Yes. And lunch? Maybe even… what is.. Cheeseburger? Wanting to try that, and Pizza.."

The sound and stage effects created by the Data Alien continue to match up with the player's needs, but as for the Humanoid Interface herself? Somehow she's relocated from high up on the cliffs turned fog machines, down into the canyon close to the other elites who are currently rocking out.
A full length synthesizer keyboard stands in front of the school girl, who now seems to have a traditional witch's pointed hat and cape on as a new spotlight hits her as well? What ever… in any case she joins in the fray adding her own overly digital form of playing to the mix.

Freddie still stands there, his fighting aura flaring. Looks like the gorilla hasn't finished tuned its guitar! So where's the amp you say? It's this odd, cilindrical shaped thing right next to it, wearing a school uniform and a red shirt with a kanji reading GUTS.

""Pee-oo~… Pee-oo~… Twaaaraaaaaaaaang~… Fuuuuuuuuuuuuu…."

That's right. The amp is talking.

The bass line for this next song is more driving, sharper on attack, and Dorothy hits it as hard as she can, dancing back into the fog as she plays, alabaster skin glowing neon in the reflected lights as she moves from one side of the band to the other. She keeps moving, appearing behind other members, throwing out high kicks in the spaces between, slipping in and out of the spots like a dervish. Definitely in her element.

Well, when the guitar solo portion comes on? Dante's ready to play it. He's breaking out some wicked guitar solos for this one. No doubt about that part! With each note, each strum, lightning strikes down from the heavens to signify the awesome power of ROCK that is unleashed.

It's like, Squiggly vs Wiggly over here. GO SQUIGGLY! GO SQUIGGLY!

Does Squiggly win? Well, that depends on which side is more powerful. The side of justice, or the side of evil…But hopefully rock favors Justice over evil. All Dante can do is contribute a solo to help the effort. And again, hopefully intimidate the Anthem of Evil with the stray lightning bolts. Though he doesn't actually aim for anyone directly again. Afterall, what fun it is if they win by KO?

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "This battle… It is likely the most useful I have /ever/ been, I think. Good chemistry in this band overall… Trogdor is finishing up, prepping next song."
<Union-IC> Ash says, "…b… battle?"
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "It is a musical rockout battle against the Cult of Shredded Riffs."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Using our music against theirs, to prevent them from /ending the world/."
<Union-IC> Kiku seriously, "Music will /not be used for evil/.
<Union-IC> Dorothy Wayneright breathes heavily. "Real effing fun here."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Be ready. The third song is coming soon. It's our chance to strike back at them as hard as possible."
<Union-IC> Dorothy Wayneright laughs. "Oh, I'm ready. And I don't have to wail this time. Even my soprano has a problem with those screams."

Go Squeedly! Go Squeedly!

… … …

SQUEEDLY WINS!!!

The group coming together and working in tandem, the sheer might of Trogdor backing them in their quest almost personifies itself as a great ghosty S shaped dragon with goodly eyes and muscly Popeye arm, and a stick figure leg manifests behind the Band of Righteous Justice (For that is what you shall all be known as from this point on) and lets out a mighty roar! Fire breath streaks forward and burninates the countryside as the Cultists lose their resolve for a moment, plinking and missed notes calling out horribly as the crowd begins to boo them. And they stop for a moment.
"You are strong… But Kansas is not our only Anthem of Evil!" Such is the proclamation of the evil bassist. And so they begin to play again. … Why is this song more pop-y? It's not as familiar though. … I don't even think it's metal or rock related. But oh my god… It is bad.

c/‘~"I’ll bring my love to you~ I'll bring my love to you~ I've been stood up and messed around~ And taken for a fool~ But next time around~ I'm gonna change the rules!"~c/`

<OOC> The Guy says, "Yes. You have all summoned the spirit of Trogdor."
<OOC> Komachi Onozuka says, "oh **** yes!"
<OOC> The Guy thumbsup, "Good job."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "…."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Is that what I think it is?"
<OOC> Takashi Kamiyama says, "Hahahahaha."
<OOC> Takashi Kamiyama says, "Trogdor's beefy arm is ultimate."

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "We summoned /him himself/?"
<Union-IC> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Or the audience has some good shit and we're buzzing."

<Broadcast> Somewhere, the sound of a countryside being burninated can be heard.

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "No, no, that's not quite the right feeling."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "We summoned /him/… The /Burninator/."
<Union-IC> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Wait… is that… oh, god. Not that song."

Avel steps up to the mic, and then tries to channel Robert Plant. "
We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
The hammer of the gods
Will drive our ships to new lands,
To fight the horde, singing and crying…
Valhalla, I am coming!
On we sweep with threshing oar,
Our only goal will be the western shore!" A breif break before he continues.
"We come from the land of the ice and snow,
From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow.
How soft your fields so green,
Can whisper tales of gore,
Of how we calmed the tides of war.
We are your overlords.
On we sweep with threshing oar,
Our only goal will be the western shore.
So now you'd better stop and rebuild all your ruins,
For peace and trust can win the day
Despite of all your losing." He then joins the chorus of Ahh's and riffs to the end of the song.

Kiku continues to rock along to the song. She is playing with all her might, doing all she can to synch her music up with the others. With the miricle they have created, the summoning of /Trogdor himself/… Well. This is a sign that a certain side of the abttle is winning. And now, to finish it off.

TRUE ROCK SHALL PREVAIL!

<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov In surprisingly good tune. " We come from the land of the ice and snow, From the midnight sun where the hot springs blow. The hammer of the gods Will drive our ships to new lands, To fight the horde, singing and crying… Valhalla, I am coming! On we sweep with threshing oar, Our only goal will be the western shore!"

Komachi pass-flips the mic over to Avel. After the microphone is in the air, Komachi performs an amazing back-flip. A trail of magical bullets seems to follow her as she flips onto the bow of her boat. Scythe in hand once more, she aims her blade to the heavens. The bullets of energy scatter and then something rises from the fog on her boat. The ghosts of deceased vikings rise up and also lift their weapons on high behind her. They assist her with the backup singing of the "Ahhh~i~aaaaaah~AH! Ahhh~i~aaaaaah~AH!" The raising of thier weapons and Komachi shooting off danmaku in a barrage of blasts into the night sky.

Keeping the beat with thier weapons on high, Komachi and the souls of the dead level thier weapons at the Anthem of Evil. "Ahhh~i~aaaaaah~AH! Ahhh~i~aaaaaah~AH!" Again, another barrage of danmaku shoots forth into the sky, this time, with it the souls of the dead also jump forth to pass by and return to the heavens from wence they came.

<IC-Broadband> Kiku audible smile, "We summoned Trogdor… And now, these cultists are going to be finished off by our /final song/."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…Let's let em have it."
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "…I…"
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique hmmms!

Dante continues to provide electric guitar backup….Literally on the Electric Part. He's not letting up on his assault of notes, and just to rub it in…? …He's pulling off stylish poses too. Hanging the guitar off his shoulders while he plays? Yeah, he's doing that. Calling down epic lightning strike special effects? Yeah, he's doing that.

Using his freaky demonic voice to sing deathmetal lyrics?

…No, he's not doing that. Thankfully.

Yuki cranes her head up to see the Burninator himself. This would mark the first time ever for the Integrated Data Sentient Entity to lay eyes upon it, figuratively speaking… since they don't actually have eyes. But there is no time for lackluster apathy at the sight of ol' BeefyArm, Instead such alien powers of apathy and sterile non-emotion are refocused back into her music, lending the precise notes needed to back up all of her comrades right now.
With Avel tearing it up in the spirit of Robert Plant against what ever horrid musical mish-mash the Shredded Riffz guys were using, the outcome was looking brighter. Even the fog machines were working in overtime. One would hope however that Yuki doesn't forget to turn them off when she's done here, or this poor canyon might never see sunlight again.
<X-Union-Chatter> Shirou says, "Training time again…"

The thin woman continues dancing around, circling Dante at first, then each of the other players, slapping the strings of her bass as the song switches to Immigrant Song. The heavy rhythm follows the lead guitar this time, with the occasional climbing descant, but falling back to the original beat moments later. Dorothy finally stops next to Avel, leaning back towards the lead singer, sweat glistening in the bright lights as she adds her own soprano wailing to the last calls of the song.

<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright laughs.
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "So these Shredded Riffz guys should change thier name to Shredded wheat."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh murmurs, "… Interesting.."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "We have made music to shake the pillars of Heaven and drag the very spirits from the Earth. Fucking A."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "yes…we did.."

c/‘~"And I don’t care about the things that people say~ It's you I think about each and every day~ It's much to late for you to change your w—" Skreeeeeeeee!!!

That is the sound of speaker feedback. It would seem, Rick Astley is not, can not, and will never ever be enough to counter Zeppelin. The cultists immediately lose their bearings on the second song as Avel starts belting out lyrics, as many join in for the chorus, the fog rises and lightning crashes.

"Alright… Fine… You have defeated Kansas and Rick Astley… BUT HOW ABOUT THIS?!" The Cultists keyboardist demands.

… Keyboardist… That can only mean one thing…

Doodoodoo dooooooo! DOO DOO DOODOODOOOOO! Dooby doobydoobydooooooooooo!

"/IT'S THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!!!/"

So the cultists begin to play, struggling, sweating, giving it their all and trying to continue with their nefarious plans. The earth shakes. The air trembles with energy of good versus evil, the ground starts to CRACK! But lo… Lo and behold, it is not just Robert Plant who is channeled here tonight… BUT ODIN HIMSELF!!!

The skies open up, clouds part as a mighty looking old man in the sky stares down imperiously at the scene below with only one eye, dressed in furs and a horned helm. And with his hand, he points towards the stage, and Valhalla itself spills forth, as from the skies descend the spirits of hundreds of viking ships and the norse badasses that once rode them ages ago to plunder, pillage, loot, and kick ass, joining in with the chorus in a raucous chorus…

"AAAAAAAAAAAAA~AAAAAAAA~AAAAAH!!!"

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…Well crap."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "they /can/ play something that isn't, well…Crap."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Crap. um. Next song. NOW."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Vikings? We summoned Vikings."
<OOC> Dorothy Wayneright knows the Boston version.
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Yeah, um…We gotta end this."
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "I think we just rock /too much/."
<OOC> Komachi Onozuka is listening to the Led Zeppelin version right now
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "What's our next number guys? This is getting just um…I wanna say a LITTLE BIT OUTTA HAND! …Though it's pretty flipping awesome."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I say.. Stairway to Heaven…"
<IC-Broadband> Kiku chuckles, "That's what I was thinking."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…Right, gimme a sec on that one…"
Somewhere, Solid Snake has connected.
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Stairway is good. Godzilla probably would just cause property damage."
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "Wow.. That's the biggest wreck I've ever seen.. It's massive. …Hey, Nicole, it says something on the side. What is that?" "Uhm.. Kilroy Was Here."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Avel, you want lead on this one or should I take the mic again?"
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh remarks, softly, "Why to not be playing 'God Made Rock And The Roll For You' being?"
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "Why not duet it?"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "that works."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright snickers. "Could always play Freebird."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "PLAY STAIRWAY already! I've got my own idea…"
<IC-Broadband> Kiku says, "Stairway works, we'll go for it."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka laughs lightly. "Freebird… All right lemme jump back down there."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "But stairway's good too!"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…No. We are not playing freebird."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Stairway."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Agreed. Stairway."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I know, I know. I was laughing at the idea.. Definatly stairway."

Now the encore. Dorothy skips over to her bike and drops off her keyboard, slinging the bass around her back. From a saddle-bag on the far side, she pulls a solid acoustic guitar and attaches a pickup. "Okay! Ready, guys?" she calls, then steps into one of the spotlights. Tossing the sunglasses aside, she closes her eyes and begins to pick out the distinctive opening notes to Stairway to Heaven. "And it makes me wonder," she whispers, waiting for the rest to join in. Even the fairy with the flute has something to contribute to this one.

<OOC> Dorothy Wayneright loves these types of scenes. :)

Komachi jumps down from her boat and stands next to Avel. Sharing the mic with him they duet Stairway to Heaven. Komachi's fairy nods in agreement and readies the synth flute.
"There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold. And she's buying a stairway to heaven…
When she gets there she knows if the shops are all closed, with a smile she can get what she came for. Oooh Oooh She's buying a stair~way to Hea~a~ven…" She continues to sing the song with Avel and her fairy plays her flute as epically as she can.

"And as we wind down the road our shadows taller than our soul there walks a lady we all know who shines white light and wants to show how everything still turns to gold. And if you listen very hard the tune will come to you at last when all are one and and one is all to be a rock and not a roll…
And she's bu~y~ing a stairway.. to hea~a~ven.."

Dante…Backs up the best he can. For once? He's not using lightning strikes. Why? This song really doesn't let one jam on a guitar hard enough to do it. However, he provides the proper melody for the song via Nevan, a few sparks dancing off his guitar here and there as he plays. Though, for some reason…?

…He has this look in his eye. Like he's planning something. There's…A knowing smirk there.

…That can't be good. Can it.

The Pick of Destiny.

The Best Song Ever.

Perhaps one of the best makeshift /bands/ ever.

Kiku plays, relaxing, a bit. Smiling. There is no way they can lose this. She continues to work to keep the harmony of the group together through her psionics. It is time to finish this.

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "And she's bu~y~ing a stairway.. to hea~a~ven…"

Avel reveals himself to be a zepplin fan, hitting the chords with perfect timing, and handles the tempo extremely well. His voice also seems to be even better for slow songs, almost in a plant-esque way.

<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright whispers over the ubiquitous acoustic sound of Stairway to Heaven, "And it makes me wonder."

The Vikings and Odin and everything were quite interesting. So far the IDSE has had their fill of new data this evening haven't they? Yet after the subdued harmony of stairway begins playing, Yuki conforms to the mood and begins backing up the others on the keyboard, the lights dim and somehow even the winds seem to cease their natural flows just to give Dorothy and the others the perfect dramatic wisping effects to their hair and what not. All in all, special effects as well as Yuki's playing would seem near perfectly harmonized with the others.

This… This cannot be countered. No song in the Cultist's repetoire can defeat this. It becomes blatantly obvious as the keyboard dies out. Mostly the Cult of Shredded Riffs are left unable to continue, just silently standing on the stage, resigned in their defeat as this might battle of the bands comes to an end. The crowd is booing. Booing not the Band of Righteous Justice. But booing the cultists, before theirs hisses and jeers turn to mighty raucous cheers and cries, aimed for The Band of Righteous Justice (that's you guys, remember?)
And then… Up in the sky… She comes. Who she is? I don't know. But a woman walks up to Odin. A gorgeous woman, clad in white silk, flowing hair. And she holds in her hand a bag. But not just any bag. For it is large and bears a definitive $ insignia. It is this she hands to the venerable god, who nods. And with a motion of his hand, a stairway of pearl and ivory descends from the clouds— And the cultists panic, leaping from their stage as it comes down and smashes the stage and all the equipment.

The battle… Is won… And the crowds… All scream in delight as the flesh of their faces seems to liquify and drip to the ground.

The wail of sirens calls out as law enforcement cars and officials begin to arrive to round up the cultists.

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "…"
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Did we just summon the stairway from the song?"

<IC-Broadband> Shirou can barely be heard murmuring things about 'trace' something or another…which is apparently thoughs since his radio is telepathic.

Kiku just /stares/. The battle is run. The stairway is formed. FACES ARE MELTING. She pauses, though still playing to finish the song.

And then looks at the others on the battlefield.

"…We can not play together, ever again. This power is /out of our control/. It is too dangerous."

She is in /utter awe/ at how well this band has done.

<Union-IC> Nova Kendalae says, "Well, that IS what the song is about. What'd you expect, Kiku-san?"
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Didn't expect it to literally /form/."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "I am so glad we didn't sing anything about death or the apocolypse. As is, this group has so much music power, that I don't think we should play together again… It is… Too dangerous."
<Union-IC> Yuki Nagato says, "Analysis complete, it is indeed a stairway, possibly to heaven."

Komachi puts the microphone down then looks out across the crowd. The battle was won. The music was played. Faces were melted off… Sikieiki Yamaxanadu probably wouldnt like that.. but at least the battle was won. "Meh, well as long as it ain't in my jurisdiction." She just stood there, looking out at everyone before giving her fairy friend a hearty hug. "You did really good too. You've been practicing that thing when I wasn't looking hunh?" The fairy nodded and just smiled at her.

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Meh, well as long as it aint in my jurisdiction…"

Avel nods, smirking as he sees the accidental face melting. "not a bad day's work.." He pats his les paul, moving to put it onto his back again. He looks around as the cultists are being dragged away. "Hopefully they learned rock is not something to be played with."

<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "Hopefully they learned rock isn't something to be played with.."

<Union-IC> Kiku says, "At the least… We win."

Dorothy ends the song by throwing the guitar into the air and catching, spinning with the effort. She scoops up the microphone and yells to the audience, "Thank you, Nevada! You've been a great crowd, until your faces melted! Rock on! Buy the album!" And she collapses onto her butt, laughing.

<Union-IC> Amuro Ray says, "This…"
<Union-IC> Amuro Ray sighs. "As much as I don't want to ask this…"
<Union-IC> Amuro Ray says, "…I /am/ going to need a report filed."
<Union-IC> Kiku says, "Working on it."
<Union-IC> Amuro Ray sighs, facepalms audibly. "Why can't we have a normal, quiet night for once?"

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "You know. I'm glad I don't have to ferry any of them. This place is outside my jurisdiction. However I do pity the shinigami that does work this place… I got a feeling I'm gonna have a nasty talk with my boss tomorrow…"

The Data Alien simply stares at the on goings silently as victory is assured. However the anomalies in the sky catch her attention the most, while the melting faces and the stairway themselves are obviously out of place, Yuki seems to be looking deeper into this. What ever it is she perceives, she doesn't comment on it other than to say , "Analysis complete, it is indeed a stairway, possibly to heaven."
She turns to watch the others of her would be band silently, oh, and she didn't forget, the fog machines do shut off.

<Union-IC> Nova Kendalae dryly, "What's a normal, quiet night like?
<Union-IC> Amuro Ray says, "A night where nothing happens and we can all just sit and relax for once."
<Union-IC> Nova Kendalae says, "Hmm, no, haven't had one of those here."
<Union-IC> Amuro Ray says, "A night where there's no rampaging monsters, confederates, or things that just can't be explained or defined by logic. A…Quiet, uneventful night…."
<Union-IC> Dorothy Wayneright says, "God, I feel high."

Dante…Has a look on his face…A smirk. Why? Because…He's planned something. He's waiting, waiting patiently for the right moment and then…

He WAILS on Nevan. And we mean he WAILS on it. Something powerful, fierce, that calls epic lightning strikes down around him for the purpose of looking awesome…Dear lord, what a set. It's basically 15 seconds of kickass guitar. Kickass, LOUD guitar. With a ton of oomph, and just…Y'know. Wow. But still, just 15 seconds for some reason. Short as it is? it sounds…Epic as hell. And awesome.

"GAME OVER! …We win." For reference? He played…

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSXnYdgutpk&fmt=18

…Wait a minute. Why does this song sound…Disturbingly familiar? Wait…It wasn't…Oh shi-

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda plays…One more song. A 15 second one. …It sounds disturbingly familiar.

That's it. That's all there is. There isn't anymore. The battle is over and won, the crowds are all beginning to mill out of the canyon and head home, satisfied by a night of pure rightheousness (sans faces). The police have rounded up the cultists and are handcuffing them… But… What's that?
That song…

It sounds like… Might is Right but Tight.

And so it is.

And it seems that from out of nowhere, the police leading the captured cultists towards the squad cars to put them away suddenly duck for cover with a cry. And from out of nowhere in the skies, a giant, red, cherry ZIPS across the lands, plowing through the four cultist musicians. They explode. It leaves a nasty red streak in the Nevada desert sands. And… Well…

-------GAME OVER--------

PRESS 'R' TO TRY AGAIN.

The Guy - done.

<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…I did not think it would do that."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "…I really did not think it would do that."
<OOC> The Guy says, "And with that. I call this scene a success."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "…..what the hell…"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "I dunno man! I just heard the song at a wedding once and thought it was pretty cool."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Like I said… It aint in my jurisdiction… I'll just leave the paperwork for some other shinigami…"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Y'know, thinking back this is kinda what happened when I heard the song."
<IC-Broadband> Yuki Nagato says, "…very interesting."
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "….."
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "………I…."

<OOC> The Guy says, "Congratulations."
<OOC> The Guy says, "You are all Guitar Heroes."

<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "…..wha…. AMAZING! That… I don't have the words for it, I really don't! But Amazing."
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "And… and something else."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "That /was/ pretty rockin."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Also, note to self. Never play that 15 second riff again."

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Well it definatly was unexpected…"
<IC-Broadband> Link can be heard GAPING. "Good grief… how did I MISS THIS?"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Heh, you guys play pretty damn good yourself though. Can't say I minded the backup at all."

<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I definatly need to learn a few more instruments… but I'll stick with my voice for now."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright sounds tired but happy. "That's what happens when you rock in an area already primed with chaos magic."
<IC-Broadband> Shirou says, "I don't have and experiance with music…I've been debating if I should try something as a hobby though."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov laughs. "I enjoyed the riff at the end, and your not bad yourself.
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "well, that is true… But it could have been worse. If that other band succeeded in playing the Anthem of Evil.. who knows what would have happened."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Music is fun. I love it. But damn this was tiring. Haven't moved this much while playing in a while."

<X-Union-Chatter> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Oh, geeze."
<X-Union-Chatter> Link can be heard 'jamming' on his ocarina to some of the tunes from earlier at a fun, brisk pace.

<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "I guess it's good that I'm always practicing. By the way, who was I rocking with?"
<IC-Broadband> Link can be heard 'jamming' on his ocarina to some of the tunes from earlier at a fun, brisk pace.
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower can be heard to join in.. On a violin.
<IC-Broadband> Yuki Nagato says, "…was very …fun. It is a pity we cannot do this again…"
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "Name's Dante, I run Devil May Cry and-"
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I am Onozuka Komachi, a shinigami of the Sanzu river."
<IC-Broadband> Dante Sparda says, "The hell we can't."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Sure we can. Just need to make sure it's some place less on the edge."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "I agree. MY name's Avel koslov, by the way."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "…And done. Sample wiped, and removed from Inside existence. Files sealed and archived."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "I'm Dorothy Wayneright."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh remarks, sounding sleepy, "Far too much noise is being."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I don't mind getting back together as long as we do it outside of my jurisdiction… You had a pretty good voice there, Avel."
<IC-Broadband> Yuki Nagato says, "I see… I was referring to these exact conditions as we used tonight…. however yes. Elsewhere may be just as…enjoyable."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "God, I need a moment to come down."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "So.. I guess this is the part where we disappear off into the sunrise until another time where a bad taste in music trys to kill the metal…"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "I guess. Or we can go for brews."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "I know a few good places in the resturant district of hell… but I don't think you all are ready for that yet."
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "No way that kind of music would be a hit in Hyrule, but I kinda wanna hear more."
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "I wouldn't mind having a drink with you guys."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "Ah, I see. Busy with the defeat of some random idiots."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "No matter."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "It was easier than actually just pushing them onto my boat and taking them to the afterlive, Xiang."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Okay. I can stand now. God, almost better than sex."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Besides, they wouldnt have been able to afford the trip across anyway."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "I could care less about the music cultists. Not an extinction level threat by even the most remote stretch of the imagination or extrapolation."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Yeah, but it was fun to kick their sorry asses."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "frankly, Xiang, as long as you live, you won't be able to afford a trip to the afterlife in my boat."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "but then again, you're outside my jurisdiction, so it doesn't really matter."
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "I do not prescirbe to a belief system that would require such a trip."
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog starts playing some guitar riffs. "…was I late to the party for once?"
<IC-Broadband> Dr. Nathan Xiang says, "I also have no intention of dying permanently until the work is complete."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Aparently you were late. Totally missed the music."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Sorry, Sonic, a little bit this time. But you can jam with us next time?"
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "So was I."
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog says, "ah that's alright."
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "Stupid static storms.."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Not like you missed much… Summoned a giant dragon, some old guy on a throne, and people had their faces melted off."
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "Not like any of my interests would have fit with music like that… actually I can't think of any in Hyrule OR Termina that might. Maybe the Deku Pipes."
<IC-Broadband> Link instruments not interests*
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "Oh ya.. and lots of Norsemen in boats."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Your ocarina would fit in with Stairway."
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog plays guitar music to the tune of "My Spirit Will Go On" to make up for missing things.
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov says, "She means we summoned Odin, the all-father of the viking world…"
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "I wonder if any of the machines picked up the music. Or did we fry them."
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "Heh… would it now?"
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "Count me in next time!"
<IC-Broadband> Link says, "I love music."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka says, "If an EWI recorder can work in Stairway to Heaven, I'm sure some pan-pipes would fit in too"
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog says, "Static storms, Miles?"
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "We're flyin' through some heavy storms."
<IC-Broadband> (Sounding Older) Noh yawns. Then asks, softly, "Why is to be much usic tonight being? Noh Body is not to unbderstanding…"
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog says, "Ah."
<IC-Broadband> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Because the Multiverse wanted music. And we obliged."
<IC-Broadband> Komachi Onozuka can be heard loading an instrument onto her boat. "Well time for me to get back home. I probably can join ya all for drinks after my next shift.. or during… or maybe before..
<IC-Broadband> Sonic the Hedgehog says, "I'm feeling better."
<IC-Broadband> Miles Prower says, "Good."

<X-Union-Chatter> Saber makes an outright astonished noise.
<X-Union-Chatter> Saber says, "O-Odin?!"
<X-Union-Chatter> Saber says, "… can this report really be taken seriously…?"
<X-Union-Chatter> Saber sounds awfully unsure.
<X-Union-Chatter> Dorothy Wayneright says, "Yeah. Old One Eye. All Father. Well, an aspect of him, I think."

Text only report.

A warning was put out about the 'Cult of Shredded Rifts', which was going to attempt to use music to bring about the apocolypse, and, seemingly, they had a chance at this. As such, a number of musicians went out, to fight the threat… Musically. The group included Dorothy Wayneright, Avel Koslov, Komachi Onozuka, Dante Sparda, Yuki Nagato, and myself, Kiku Tokugawa. There was also a group of highschool students, including one that was… Particularly skilled in music. Amazingly skilled. And I myself also had in my possession the Pick of Destiny, a Christmas present from Santa. So we felt we had an advantage. We selected a list of songs to play: Iron Man, Trogdor, and Immigrant Song. These were played against Carry On Wayward Son, 'Whenever You Need Somebody' by Rick Astley, and the Final Countdown.

Several miricles occured during the whole battle. While playing Trogdor, we summoned /Trogdor himself/. We also managed to summon Odin and Vikings. Possibly, Odin /himself/ as in, the real Odin. We proved skilled, but, needed to play one more song to finish them off at the end, an encore.

Stairway to Heaven.

It literally caused a stairway, potentially to Heaven itself, to form. And a woman on it. It collapsed onto the stage, causing the enemy band to fail entirely. Some people even had their /faces melted off/. Police came, a fruit smashed at some cultists as Dante played a riff.

It is my sugestion that this group /never be permitted to play together again/, except in an extreme circumstances. We literally created a miricle through /rock and roll/. It was… Very dangerous power that we had. It is no doubt that, all of us present, could be ranked as 'Guitar Heroes', of sorts.

Clips of the battle are shown. Trogdor is seen, as are the vikings/Odin, and the Stairway to Heaven. The music is present too.
