Dozens upon dozens of archipelligos and islands dot here - somewhat self-contained worlds, countries, and other such things float here serenely, relatively untouched by themselves by the great uphevals. Though in some cases the coexistance is peaceful, with infrastructure between the islands being formed, in many more, it is not, with warfare breaking out. This area is hotly contested and has a considerable amount of resources available.

RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'I'm sure it'll have an AT Field like mine. I think…yeah. You're going to be best off firing your beam weapons from a distance to get through it. If you see a big red sphere, aim for that.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: If things get bad enough, I have my cannon…

RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: Allright….last resort though.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov: Yulia anxious. "I may have to get in close, so I can cancel out its AT Field…but trust me. I can do this. I -have- done this."
This local island in the Great Ocean has been evacuated. It is rather large of an island, and as such, it took a fair amount of time to do this. But, it was needed. While it is slow moving, a giant monster is proceeding through the area. The civilians are not being told what sort of monster it is. But, those in the Elites know very /well/ what it is: An Angel.
This particular one is a bit large, even compared to usual. It is about a full mile long, and rather burly. A sort of lizard like creature. Eyes are along the ridge of its back, and on its 'hands'. It has four hands, each looking like they can be used for both grasping and walking. But… At the moment, it is not walking. It is floating. Several rings are surrounding its body, the inside of rings /also/ covered in eyes.
Its lizard-like head has no eyes, but its mouth is open. A long tongue dangles out of it, though the tongue looks particularly clean and dry, compared to most tongues. Look like it wouldn't be bad to touch. Though, in general, this creature seems incredibly sanitary.
It moves silently, but slowly. Yet, on an unnaturally straight path.
And so the game of Guitar Hero is called on account of Angel.
Yulia stands by for launch from the Rewloola, weapons armed and playlist loaded. She can't help but be a little anxious, not only because it's an Angel out there but because Avel is with her. He's never fought one of -them- before, and he's sick to boot. Not that she'd ever doubt him, but…
"Switching to onboard power," she faithfully reports as the EVA is unlocked and readied for launch. Deep-LCL-breath. "Ready when you are."
Avel sits in the cockpit of the massive Alpha Azieru. He coughs a small bit, before he speaks. "I'm ready to launch. Lyle, once we're launched, get clear." "Yes, Avel."
There's much moving and shaking at NERV headquarters, the one the new Gendo is from. It's standard procedure, nothing abnormal. Soon Unit 01 is launched and away, en route as fast as possible to the island with the Angel. There's no radio contact from the pilot, save to relay basic report to NERV directly. Well, at least, that would indicate who the pilot is.
Well, it looks like…Someone unexpected for such an event has shown up. She brings no mech. She brings no vehicle of any kind, actually. In fact, in the scheme of things…Lina Inverse PROBABLY looks like nothing more than an insignificant SPECK OF DUST here on this battlefield.
…Good thing size doesn't matter to her. …Well, aside from her breast size, anyway…
"Geeze…This one's uglier than most…Blegh. Alright. Time to get myself charged up for this…" And she chants:
"Lord of the Darkness of the Four Worlds…I call upon you…GRANT ME ALL OF THE POWER THAT YOU POSSESS!" And in a burst of magic…The four talismans Lina wears begin to radiate with magical energy, glowing a bright red…Around her body, magical energy visibly swirls, causing her cape and hair to flow as if blown by unseen winds…
"…Alright, let's do this…"
Lina Inverse changed her armor mode to Boost Lina.
Gaeriel had sensed something wrong from a long, long ways off. She had arrived quickly via warp gate, staying behind when the rest of the residents fled. Straining to keep her own presence low, she looks on at the slowly, steadily moving creature with some bemusement.
… really. /THIS/ angel is moer like what /she/ was used to, not these chubby babies with wings.
At this point, most people are -leaving- the area of the island. But at nearby warp gate, there's a few coming instead. First out being the white semi pulling a armored blue and red trailer. Behind him, a silver sportscar, a red sports coupe, and a fire truck. What appears to be a large missile transport also appears at the end, but it breaks off from the others to hang back on orders to be ready on standby and help with the evacuations. The other Autobots are making a direct line in the Angel's direction though.
"Be ready. Other than it's an Angel, we're not entirely certain what we may be dealing with in capabilities yet."
"Lemme at it Magnus! just because it's big don't mean it's tough!" Cliffjumper pipes up.
"Just this time when ya shoot, don't miss!" Inferno adds.
"… I don't -think- you COULD miss that." Bluestreak mutters, sounding the most awed of the bunch.
Somewhere on the island, hidden from typical view by some craft spellwork of invisibility, is a younger girl who'd rather be anywhere but here where time of day is concerned, but has come out to see exactly what sorts of things really threaten the Multiverse and what elites do. And she's carrying an umbrella in addition to the invisibility spell to provide some shade. AND some sunglasses someone dropped. In fact, she's on the beach, simply watching and slowly walking DOWN the beach to clear the way for this freakish creature while flipping through pages in a book that happens to be impossibly floating alongside her… also invisible from common view.
As of yet, the Angel takes no notice of anyone. Is it just ignoring them? Or, is it completely writing them off as not being threats? Who knows.
But, well. Luckily, no one is quite that close yet. Cause a jet plan is flying by, flanked by a few others. And it is trying to drop something on the Angel.
An N2 Mine.
It causes a massive explosion as it impacts, tearing up the local landscape… But seemingly not having an effect on the Angel. And, in response, the three rings surrounding the angel begin to spin, rapidly. Beam-like weapons fly towards the jet fighters. Concentrated AT Field beams, basically.
Well, least you know one of its attacks, now.

<IC-Broadband> Yulia says, "…Oh you have -got- to be kidding me. They still try using those things?"
Unit 01 has just arrived on scene! Yay. Cheer. Woo. Anyhow, the thing isn't wasting any time trying to close distance on that lizard thing, pulling the prog knife out. Hopefully it can try to bust a hole in the AT field so that the others can take shots.

Renee's remaining safely out of the immediate combat zone. There's no way she can face that thing! Just the explosion from the N2 mine's enough to send debris and water flying, prompting her to grip the umbrella tighter and erect a simple shield of pure mana with a wave of her hand. "Hhhhuuahh…!!" Hair and dress whipping about violently, renee tugs her book in close and flips throgh the pages, coming up on a scant few she'd been looking for, and begins chanting with one hand held out toward the Angel off in the distance. If all goes well?
The creature's data what of it the spell can understand, should start appearing line by line, with pictures and diagrams, in a few empty pages in Renee's book.
"Nigoki Launch!"
Thus, the second largest mecha in the Neo Zeon fleet drops from the carrier, unfurling a double-pair of dragonflylike AT Wings once she's cleared the launch zone. Looks like someone's been practicing. As the white EVA descends, Yulia opens fire with her beam rifle at the monster Angel while trying not to cause much collateral damage to anyone below.

The Autobot squad pulls up to a stop, all four rising to their robot modes. Ultra Magnus being the most obvious one, seeing as he towers over the other three standing around him. The grimace in his expression only gets all that more serious as the jets attempt their… ineffective mine bombing. "Time to do our thing, Autobots. Bluestreak, with me. Cliffjumper, Inferno, take a right flank. Clustering together just makes us easier targets." Orders given, Magnus and Bluestreak start moving one way, as the other two go in the opposite direction. All four of them have their guns out and start peppering the Angel's position with laser fire as they do so, from two different directions. The more scattered positions attacks come from, hopefully the less capable it will be at effectively responding to them.
Avel watches as the N2 mine faulters against the angel. Then, Yulia deploys. "Azieru Launch!" The Azieru moves in, aiming his beam guns at the angel, unloading all ten barrels.

"…" Lina just rolls her eyes at the N2 mine explosion. "C'mon, that's IT?!" Grumblegrumble. "Well, if something of THAT power doesn't break its shield…That explains that much. NO way my Dragu Slave'll do it…But…" She hms. It's too early to go casting something like Laguna Blade on it, but…She wonders…What kind of shield is this? Magical? Non magical? Does it exist on the Astral Plane or spirit world…?
"Well, only one way to find out!" She stretches out her hands as spiritual energy gathers in her palms, and she calls out a spell…
"ELMEKIA…LAAAAAAAAAANCE!" A brilliant, shining green spear of light forms in Lina's hands as she looks up at the thing from a distance… "HEY ANGEL! CATCH!" Thanks to Boost, the spell has been scaled up considerably, about twice the length it normally is. She FLINGS the Elmekia Lance like a Javelin…Will it damage the AT Field? Or bypass it? That's what she's waiting to see.

There's a sudden bright flash of light and a new Angel-like signature showing up on everyone's HUDs. Streaking up like a firework is a glowing female with four wings and a /Big/ Spear in hand. Four wings flap behind her and the ragged garment covering her body flits in the wind.
Gaeriel makes her first appearance in Angel Form! She spins the spear around, and lowers the tip before throwing it like a bolt of lightning from the heavens.

<IC-Broadband> Ultra Magnus says, "As long as it is attacking the Angel and not us, it's good enough for now."
<IC-Broadband> Gendo says, "I hope it stays on our side after the fact, is all."
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: I agree. I'll keep an eye on gendo for the time being.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'Knowing Gendo, he's still back in Central Dogma.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: I see…..either way, we need to keep eyes on unit 01. If it turns into an enemy, what are the structural weak points?
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'That ought to be Shinji-niisan…or maybe not…usually I can sense him. Maybe Misato's borrowing her.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: That would make sense.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'Best thing to do with Unit 01 is to get out of her way if she gets mad. Trust me.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: right.
The Progknife succeeds at tearing a hole in the A.T. Field, though of course, it takes some effort. The field becomes visible as the Prog Knife connects, somewhat. Trippy glowing orangeish yellow lines outlining the barrier. In response, something begins to stick out of the Angel's mouth. Sort of a giant red sphere, connected inside its mouth via a tendril-like body part. The red sphere aims to slam into EVA Unit 01. It is surrounded by a /particularly/ strong local AT Field.
Renee's book gives the angel's name: Liziel. Other than that… The information comes up basically blank. These things are incredibly resistant to scanning. VERY resistant. But, one of the rings surrounding the angel stops, and all of the eyes look /towards/ Renee. It obviously was able to sense what she is doing, /somehow/. The ring of eyes begin to spin /rapidly/, causing bursts of AT Field to strike out, akin to lasers. Think of it as a forcefield formed into a beam weapon.
With Gendo's help, Ultra Magnus manages to strike through the AT Field. Though, the lasers that don't go through the holes in the field would eventually begin to make some. Similar occurs with Avel's barrage. Some make it through the holes already made, others make new holes. Yulia's doesn't do damage, but it helps weaken the AT Field. The very back halo-like ring on the creature split, becoming a line. And, it begins to emit a blast of energy towards the three. It seems /exactly/ like the N2 Mine energy, almost as if it /directly/ copied the abilities of the mine.
The Elmekia Lance manages to pierce the AT Field. This draws the Angel's attention, too. One of the rings surrounding the Angel stops, and the inner eyes seem to be looking towards Lina. A direct attack on its spirit… It screws with the AT Field. It knows it will have to deal with that girl, too. But for now, it focuses on the others.
Fortunately, the Angel manages to manipulate its AT Field to block the attack from the other Angel present on the battlefield. Its AT Field arches out, almost like a spear, towards Gariel. It somewhat looks orange in color, and rather painful seeming.
Finally, the Angel has a chance to focus on Lina, again. Its tongue /stretches/ out towards her. The tip of it narrows, and tries to impale her /head/. It wouldn't actually leave a hole. In fact, it wouldn't even be /directly/ damaging. But… It is seemingly trying to connect /into/ her mind, trying to dig for information, only to send images into her mind, if it hits.
A series of images begin to form, if it hits. Lina would, potentially, see various images. Very… distressful images. All of her friends, exploding violently. Lina herself trying to devour them as they do so. The friends /smiling/ as they die. One or two comments on Lina's lack of a bust. And all of it is choreographed to Ode to Joy. It is possible to not be affected by it, due to mental willpower, but… If it breaks through the mental willpower, it would be /very/ damaging, directly attacking the spirit as a whole.

Oh the sphere connects pretty well, all right, but Unit 01 aims right back, trying to grab onto the thing by way of one hand aiming for the tendril and one hand trying to jam the prog knife. Random red sphere, might as well! Could well be the core as much as the thing's funky tongue or whatever.

Gaeriel is not a happy nephilim. The orange spear comes at her, but she's ready with her own defense: Not Being There. The quick-moving creature flits to the side, her spear re-appearing in her hand as her body becomes engulfed with flames, golden fire around her form, the feathers on her wings burning to cinders as they become four plumes of flame. She spins the spear again, this time bringing her hands together and forming a very small, very highly condensed fireball. She lets it drop as she zips over the creature, intent on destroying its back. As it falls, the fireball's diameter spreads to twenty feet of golding burning fire — that's gonna hurt if it hits.

Avel proves that even sick, his newtype skills allow him to react quickly. He avoids the incoming copied N2 blast. He punches the azieru's engine, enduring the full force of vertical flight. Once he feels ready, a flash, and the funnels make their introduction. They swarm around the Angel, firing at it.
<IC-Broadband> Rexsynar says, "… How delicious.. continue, by -all- means.."
<IC-Broadband> Lina Inverse chants this, and anyone who is sensitive to magic, or psychic, or anything of that sort…Would feel something. Something /very bad/
Suddenly, explosions! The Autobots are forced to pull back from their firing barrage as they're bombarded with the copied mine attack. "That was… unexpected," Ultra Magnus can be heard grunting. Capable of replicating attacks: noted. But they can't risk holding off just because something might be thrown back at them. They're a bit roughed up from the attack, but after four million years of fighting war you learn to take your lumps. Magnus lowers his own weapon briefly, instead barking out a few quick instructions over the radio. "Inferno, Bluestreak…" He pauses a brief moment, as Lina gets the worst of the barrage. Okay, now he's aggrevated. "Now, do it!"
"Awright ya big ugly," Inferno transforms back into his bright red firetruck mode, and raises his water cannon. "Time for a drink!" And fires a powerful spray of water at the Angel. Water probably isn't going to do much. Or even get by the field. But that's sort of the point, as long as the beast and the area around it is wet.
As moments later, Bluestreak kneels down to brace himself, takes aim with his rifle with both hands, and fires off a bolt of multiple volts strong blue lightning. Remember people, water attracts and conducts electricity! Prehaps a bit of application of science will help short a few holes in that AT field.

"Avel, watch out!" Yulia shouts over the radio even as she moves to block the incoming blast with her AT Field. Manipulating both wings and shield is tricky, though, and the field falters under the barrage. She hisses a bit in pain as the last bit catches her, but it certainly could have been worse.
The white EVA lands on the island with an earth-shaking *thump*, but she doesn't stay in place for long. She starts moving forward, still firing on full auto to support Avel's funnels.
WHAM. The image hits Lina…And it hits her HARD. She falls to her knees, SCREAMING as the horrible images display in her mind, and it's taking its toll on her. Oh man, she's screaming, begging for it to stop, she's crying…
…Then the voices on the radio finally make her snap out of it…And she weakly stands, looking at…The angel.
"…You think you can just…Play with my mind like that…Huh…? You think that little of me…?" She points at the angel now, and…Oh god. Lina looks pissed. Not comedically pissed. More like she is about to obliterate something pissed…
"…" She begins to chant. As she does…? …The sky begins to grow dark and omnious around her. Oh god, what IS she casting?!
Lord of the Darkness and Four Worlds, I beseech thy fragments; by all of the power thou possesseth, grant the heavens' wrath to my hand; unleash the sword of dark, freezing nothingness; by our power, our combined might, let us walk as one along the path of destruction!"
Dark lightning pierces through the sky as Lina continues to chant, her hands are held up high…And the lightning strikes at them…Gathering and turning into an eerie, swirly mass off….Well. Chaos. Utter chaos. This spell has literally summoned what feels like chaos embodied. Whatever Lina is casting? It can be FELT by anyone sensitive to magic, or psychics, or anything of that sort. And it feels…VERY UNPLEASANT.
"LAGUNA…." The dark energy becomes a massive, towering blade…Swirling with that chaotic power…And she SWINGS IT down on the angel, as if intent on cleaving it in two.
"BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADE!"

<IC-Broadband> Ultra Magnus | Bluestreak says, "And that, children, is why you don't go swimming in a lighting storm. Or use your blow dryer in the shower. Or the toaster in the bathtub. Thought I don't know why you would be making toast in the bathtub in the first place, since that's kind of silly, you'd be getting crumbs all over yourself and its totally counterproductive to trying to clean yourself off." Ultra Magnus cuts in, "This isn't a saturday morning cartoon, Bluestreak, you don't need to do a public service announcment afterwards."
The blasts stream right along the sands, too fast for Renee to track or erect a powerful enough shield to possibly counter. So she does the next best thing and attempts to erect a deflecting shield that would divert SOME of the force away. This is represented by a slightly curved field formed at a sideways slant in front of her outstretched hand.
It's shattered like glass, the fragments dissolving from whce they came to the horror of a very astonished vampire girl! "Aaaaaaaah—-" She's caught by the beam, slammed hard by it and thrown into the beach, the umbrella vaporized and her dress partially ruined. Smoke curls up from her where the blast hit on her side… and she's coughing and spluttering all while trying to get back up to her feet, leaning on the floating book for support. Needless to say, her invisibility spell just went kaput. "I don't know what that thing is.. Liziel…?" Rubbing her eyes with the back of one bloodied hand, Renee shudders while on her knees and gets back to her feet. The wound's not healing like it ought to… stupid sunlight.
But, looking up at Lina, Renee nods once, deciding that calling upon crazy powers is definiltely the way to go. The only thing is, Renee's not about to do it personally. She gestures at the book, which immediately orients itself to show its pages her way, flipping to the conjuration sections.
At first it's a fuzzy image that appears in the air, but quickly it gains more and more definition as an amorphous colored nothingness grows thick arms that end in nasty claws, muscular reptilian feet, wide-spread grand wings… and a draconic head. It's a mighty dragon called forth from nothingness, covered in golden scales which reflect the midday sun perfectly. "Your target is Liziel. Don't interfere with the other fighters. They're allies."

RADIO: Over the radio, Avel Koslov Tries to hide a bit of a coughing fit.
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique winces audibly. "Mmrf. I can't let something like this get loose to anywhere else, so please allow me to help you! My name is Renee Moazique. You are quite the sorceress."
<IC-Broadband> Ultra Magnus says, "Any help at the moment is surely appreciated."
The sphere draws back out of the way of the knife, before rushing forward again. Instead of smacking, though… This time, it is trying to wrap around the Evangelion's knife arm, and trying to /pull it off/. At the same time, its tongue would pull back from attacking Lina… And the tongue attempts to impale into Unit 01, trying to reach towards the pilot. Attempting to mindrape him.
Gendo Ikari would see a rather different image than Lina. It would be simply him. Standing alone. Around him is /infinite/. He would be able to /feel/ infinite. There is no sound. But… After a moment, there would be screams. With the screams would appear images of his son, Shinji. Blood begins to burst from the son's mouth, and his body begins to messily fall apart. All Gendo would be able to see is his son, dieing.
And then, one voice: His wife's.
"It is your fault."
Ow.
As for Gariel, the Angel focuses its AT Field, redirecting the flames… Not blocking it. It redirects it towards the middle ring, where the flames somewhat just… Vanish. The front ring begins to spin again, more rapidly than before, firing AT Field based lasers towards Gaeriel. A massive amount of them.
Avel manages to strike at the Angel with his assault. He is greeted by the back ring spinning, and sending a burst of flames at him.
The Angel is struck by the bursts of lightning from the Transformer, the damage agravated by the water. The beast, still silent as it has been the whole battle, causes the front ring to spin faster, trying to spread laser-fire towards all the present transformers.
The Angel would stretch out towards Yulia's EVA, using its AT Field to grab. It attempts to slam her into the ground via, using its AT Field. At the least, Yulia can see that her and Avel's attacks are working pretty well together, to tear through the AT field. The AT Field has a /number/ of holes right now. They are repairing, slowly, but it is making it harder on the Angel.
And then, Lina manages to bring the massive dark blade to try and cut the Angel in half. And the rings surrounding it are totally /obliterated/. The Angel itself is cut into fairly deeply, and blood begins to /spurt/ out, in geysers. Anyone close to it might be hit by some of the Angel's equivalent of blood. This is the attack that does it… The attack that causes it to /roar in pain/.
Renee's dragon, though… It is mostly ignored, at the moment, because the Angel is trying to deal with /nearly being cut in half/. But… This leaves Renee with a pretty decent opening to attack it.

Of course, right when things couldn't get any worse…
They do. For the Angel, this time.
A slight mote of AT power can be detected high overhead - Misato's Eva, with it's AT wings expanded. It cruises through the skies like some kind of wonderful, heretical angel from the skies, sensors scanning carefully as it comes to circle 'round in the air… until it stops, and its AT field vanishes.
And it begins to fall. And fall. AND FALL. AND FALL. AND FALL.
Actively boosted with a few bursts of AT power, it curls into a massive ball-shaped projectile, attempting to SMASH right into the Angel.
"CANNONBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!"

Ignoring the dragon might be a bit of a mistake. As soon as she's caught herbreath, Renee POINTS out at the floating Angel, and the Dragon obediently spreads its wings, shooting off like a rocket in a full dive for the angel before swinging in close to the point where Lina's blade had slashed past its defenses. Wings beating madly to keep it aloft, the golden dragon's scales bristle from the tail all the way to the head as a surge of magical energy begins to gather in its slowly widening maw. Considering it's about the size of a warehouse, that's no piddly amount to contend with.
Its claws clench tightly and the dragon's mouth snaps shut as if to swallow that coalscing blast… but only for a moment. It quickly rears its head and then snaps it down, mouth wide. Then, with the sound of a cannon going off and a reverberating majestic roar, a constant WAVE of pure golden light erupts from the creature's throat. It's not fire as some might have expected. It's closer to a magical laser.
Ultra Magnus curses under his breath in cybertronian as the front ring starts to spin again. "Evasive scatter, now! Move!" And what's evasive maneuvers for Transformers? They transformer and drive, naturally. Bluestreak and Inferno scramble in opposite direction, lasers peppering the ground as peel out. Inferno even has his sirens and lights going for effect.
Ultra Magnus transforms as well, but instead of screaming away he starts to drive towards the Angel as it lashes out in various directions. Cliffjumper grabs on instead of converting to car mode and climbs up onto his trailer. Several laser blasts sheer across Ultra Magnus' exterior armor, as he cruises towards the behemoth leaving dents and burn marks but not detering him from his path. Sprawling on top of his trailer, Cliffjumper pulls out what's best described as a Transformer sized bazooka, and levels it towards the Angel. "Hey! Trypticon's uglier bastard little brother! EAT THIS!" FROOM! A sizably large plasma blast is fired, straight at the Angel's ugly head!

The firing angel glows. And burns white hot as her body expands and turns into a creature with a huge hunch on its back. Ox like horns, though longer and flamed, appear on its head. Its white hot eyes narrow and burn, and its cloven burned bronze hooves create circles of fire everywhere it steps. If it wasn't for the weirdly Angel-like energies it was giving off, people might convince this flaming bull-like creature for something demonic.
… or something that herds Unicorns.
Its tail lashes as the mighty beast of Wrath bellows, and Gaeriel charges forward to try and gouge the beast!

Well, the blade of chaos, and the dark clouds? They leave as soon as they came, once the Laguna Blade dissapates and fades from existance..The chaotic feelings. The dread…Gone as sudden as they were there. But yeah, it seems Lina's become more proficient at casting magic since she left! Might have something to do with the fact her talismans are still glowing. Normally Boost only provided a brief power boost for a single spell…In this case, it seems her magic is still being boosted.
"Levitation!" And she begins to float skyward. Apparently she'd rather not be on the ground, all vulnerable to the angel's eventual retalation…
"He who controls life and death…I summon thy great power…Obliterate the fool who dares to stand before us and oppose our combined might!"
That's when something begins to trace around the entire area the Angel is occupying…A ring. Purple in color, and eminating lesser (but still present) feelings of chaos and dread…Several lines begin to trace through the ring, until their shape is revealed.
An inverted pentagram.
Light suddenly forms around the ring, intent on ensnaring the angel…
"LAGUNA BLAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAST!"
…Before a dark, billowing 'ray' erupts from the pentagram, shooting upwards with the intent of doing some potent magical damage to the Angel.

Oh, Unit 01's not looking so hot… really isn't. Down an arm, and all, and bleeding bad enough here… the thing crouches a bit, cupping at it's bleeding stump and glaring bloody murder at the Angel, as it lets out a low roar in pain, the eyes start glowing bright white as it reaches out at the Angel's head, trying to rip it in half and get at the core to smash the damn thing. The EVA just simply howls in anger as it attacks the Angel, not seeming to care about its own safety at the moment.

Well, there used to be a hill there, but now it's an EVA-sized depression in the ground. Thank goodness Nigoki doesn't need the fifty million miles of extension cord anymore…
Wincing, Yulia forces her EVA back into a sitting position, the mecha's arms rising out of the hole to push herself up, then brushes her face clean of sand and debris. Since their combined attacks seem to be working pretty well so far…a hatch on the Nigoki's right shoulder pylon retracts to display a rack full of minimissiles. Not that they stay there for long - all six of them launch, two aimed for the Angel's head, two at its trunk, and the last at its tail.

Avel recalls his funnels and seemingly breaks off from the engagement, but he doesn't go far. He is still within firing range, and a green energy gathers around it's head. He was charging up the Azieru's main cannon.

Well. It is, simply, one attack after another. First an Eva Cannonball, then a magical laser, then a plasma bazooka. And a gouging. And missiles. And a fricking /beserk Evangelion/.
It is… Having issues at the moment, to say the least. The entire area is being covered in its 'blood'. Which is quite a bit of blood.
And then, something… strange happens. Which is saying something, considering it is an Angel. Something begins to /emerge/ from the massive cut. It is a strange body… Almost lizardlike, but pure white. Only a torso, with massive glowing wings. Its body is covered in eyes. A red core, on a tendril, connected to its chest. And a long tongue.
And no head. The tongue is /sticking out of its neck/.
It seems the rest was just a shell. Its tongue stretches out, this time aiming for Misato's Eva, trying to give her a similar mind rape treatment.
If its tongue pierces into the Eva, and into Misato's mind… She would see Antartica. And Impact. Over and over and over again. But, each time, it would be from a different perspective. Seeing how someone else saw. She would see the point of view of /everyone/ during the Impact. Seemingly, this is based off of her perceptions, on some level. It is guessing, and filling in the blanks. But… It is probably frighteningly accurate. It'd finish up with Misato /being the cause of Impact/, being the central focus of it.
It occurs in synch with Ode to Joy.
As for everyone else, the Angel's /entire/ true body begins to spurt out lasers, in all directions. Massive beamspam.

Young Misato is at the same time both strong and frail. Unfortunately, the strength brought her out here for the brittleness to be exposed.
She /SCREAMS/ as it happens. What happens? IT. The formative event of her life. Over and over and OVER AND OVER AND OVER.
Misato's sync rate suddenly drops through the floor, and her Eva falls over on the ground, twitching, attempting to clutch it's head, AT field eratically jutting out bursts of hexagonal energy as she goes through this miniature hell.
<OOC> Young Misato says, "No attack, and I idle. Do whatever to bring me back."
<IC-Broadband> Renee Moazique says, "I-it has no head?! What kind of creature is this? Maybe this is one of those things that lives between worlds?"

"WINDY SHIELD!" It seems Lina has to focus on defense, because…Yeah. Lasers. Lots of them. Thankfully she has a spell for defending herself called Windy Shield. It makes a powerful, concentrated barrier of wind that disperses attacks around the wind, keeping the caster relatively safe from harm.
In Lina's case? The fact she's being boosted by the four Demon Blood Talismans results in a Windy Shield that /completely/ nullifies the lasers as her hand is held out in front of her free floating body. Sorry Angel, not today.
By the time the laser spam comes, Ultra Magnus is already peeling away from the Angel again at full throttle. Many times faster than you would think a vehicle that large and heavily armored would be able to go, but he is, outrunning the blasts. And then finally skids to a stop, drifting a bit with the halt as Cliffjumper jumps off, then transforms. And he's already got his own 'big gun' out, hoisting it up onto his shoulder and keeping it in launcher mode instead. "Time to put you down. For good." He opens fire with the launcher, sending the full salvo of cluster bombs hurtling back in the Angel's direction.

Unit 01 manages to collect itself enough to grab its dropped arm and scramble out of the way when Avel calls on the radio, holding the thing up to its ripped socket like that was going to make it better. It's still roaring that eerie sound, though…
There's something not quite right about Unit 01 - aside from her being berserk and all - but Yulia doesn't have time to think about it. Avel needs someone to cover him, and that'd be her job!
Using the edge of the pit as a lever, Nigoki swings herself out of it, launching into the air. Just a single set of wings sprout this time, but they should be enough to hold her steady while she forms another AT Field to shield herself and the Azieru.
It's a good thing she does, too. "Incoming!" Yulia shouts to warn him, then puts herself in harm's way so that Avel can fire. "Take the shot!"
Avel nods, taking full aim. "Allright….let's see how you like this!" He shouts, firing of the Azieru's Mega Particle Cannon. The beam itself is damn-near blinding as it flies with enough power to blow up ships by mere touch alone. He only can wonder if what's left of the AT field will overload from this.
Gaeriel pulls back, the bull stepping back and away from the incoming attacks, acting as guard and tackle for the smaller creatures working with her tonight. The Nephilim gives a warning bellow. (No attack)
<IC-Broadband> Avel Koslov transmits a deafening roar from inside the Azieru's cockpit.
<IC-Broadband> Lina Inverse whistle. "Wow…I was getting ready to cast a Dragu Slave but…"

<IC-Broadband> Yulia gasp-pant. "That's the Azieru for you…"

The dragon's left arm's pierced by a beam, but the creature merely roars while ichor drips from the wound, whcih didn't even seem to properly cauterize since half of the lasers had reflected off of its magnificent scales, leaving them tainted a sickly greenish.
Renee nibbles uneasily on her lower lip, taking a step back. This battle was getting WEIRD and she didn't know if she wanted to stick around in case that thing was somehow really not hurt that badly. With the way its was acting and how it looked, what logic did it really FOLLOW?

But the dragon? Its maw opens wide once more, neck straight as an arrow and pointed toward the heavens. Anyone with fine magical senses would detect all of the freestanding magical energy in the area, whatever there really was which was easily accessible, being pulled into the creature's maw as a swirling stream, building up bit by bit to be even more impressive than the blast from before. It'll probably take too long to charge though.
A convergence of attacks on its true form. The Angel attempts to use the beamspam to get away, but… The attacks hit. Avel's is the last to strike it… Causing the Angel, for a second, to seemingly shring, as blood begins to burst out of its body, until it basically shrivels up.
There is one scary thing, though? …It's AT Field is still present, for some reason, currently in a square shape around where it was.
Then, the shriveled body begins to expand. Converting every atom of its body into energy. The AT Field somewhat contains it, at first, but the AT Field is a remnant… It doesn't last long.
It explodes into a gigantic explosion that reaches towards the sky, in a cross-shaped, that would likely turn this whole area into a crater. And it is likely going to engulf a large number of the fighters in the area.

RADIO: Over the radio, Gendo sounds a bit more collected now. "…I'm… all right. Really. …Your friend's canon is impressive…"
Yulia managed to endure the pain of the beamspam while protecting Avel - call it the power of love maybe? - but no way she can shrug off the overwhelming explosion of the Angel's demise.
The teen screams as the heat of the blast shreds her AT Field and melts the armor plating of her EVA, and the concussive blast of air that follows knockes her clear out of the air and into the ocean some distance away.
RADIO: You radio Gendo: Yulia ragged gasp. "It was meant to destroy armored cruisers…guess it works on Angels too."
Avel punches the Azieru to chase after Yulia. He wasn't about to let that explosion cause any more damage than it did. The Azieru has a number of dents, a few cracks, and some of the paint has melted off. "Yulia!!!!!"
"Oh slag…" Even Ultra Magnus' optics widen when he realizes what's about to come, when those fields do NOT end with the collapse of the monster. Bluestreak and Inferno were already clear of range, having withdrawn while fleeing the previous laser-spam attacks. But Cliffjumper was still there, admiring the MASSIVE laser that had killed the thing. "Get out of the way, now!" Selflessly Ultra Magnus grabbed the smaller Autobot and -threw- him in the direction of the others to get him clear of the blast radius.
But there's not enough time to get clear himself, of course, which is why he did it. That's one hell of an explosion! Enough force to even throw someone as large as Ultra Magnus off his feet. Followed by a crash from practically the -opposite- end of the island almost where he lands, face down in the dirt, the entire back side of his armor burnt to the point that the paint is gone and even the metal beneath is scorched black, smoke billowing from several of the joints and seems.
"……. Ow….."
Well, so much for the Windy Shield. It can't hold up against THAT kind of explosive power…And the resulting blast…Sends Lina CAREENING into the ground.
*SLAM* Dust kicks up…And a small crater is formed where she hits. The explosive force DID hit her pretty hard, afterall. And she's…Not feeling too good after that. Not in the slightest, no sir.
"Auugh..Th…That hurt…Like…HELL."
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov: Yulia pant, gasp. "I—I'm okay….mostly."
Unit 01 didn't have time to run far, it was using its nifty berserker-healy skills to try to at least get the arm stuck back on. Managed that, just barely, but likely would need fixing still… especially after the giant explosion sent the EVA flying a little distance there. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee soaring…. rock. Ow. And now there's an EVA sized impact crater over there, a good distance away.
Yes now everyone can make Impact jokes.
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: Whew…..Now I need to see if my heart's started beating again..
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov: Yulia weakly joking, "Don't make me start CPR."
Poor dragon. It was just preparing to unleash its true power upon the strange beast when the expanding devastation engulfs it. The scales melt away, arms and torso following suit as its swallowed up by the blast. Renee winces, throwing a hand up to protect herself while concentrating hard on another spell, the pages of her grimoire flipping madly. Finally, just before theaftermath, an gigantic shockwave would have overtaken her… Renee vanishes in a blip of white light.
Just in time, for not long afterward a tsunami pounds across the beach, washing away what hadn't been outright blown away from the xplosion's force itself.
The angel-turned-creature gives a snarl, rolling with the blast and pretty much eliminating a swatch of land in the process. The bull gives a grunt, a snort, and then shakes itself out before transforming back into the four-winged woman.
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: :chuckles. "Come on, let's get you out of the water."

A minute or so passes, but then one very large white-armored arm breaks the surface of the water. At least Avel can find her now. A long moment later, Nigki's head also emerges, fowled by sand and seaweed.

RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: It's days like this I'm glad I have that cannon….I'd hate to think what that thing could have done if not stopped.
Once the storm passes, Renee reappears further up on the island, grimoire tucked under one arm while she's surveying the land by using her other arm to brush hair from her eyes. She's still looing just as roughed-up as before. "…….." There's no words for this devastation. It's fortunate everyone had been evacuated… that was for sure. This had Renee completely shocked.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov: Yulia dead serious, "If we were really unlucky, started an Impact."
<IC-Broadband> Amuro Ray says, "Everyone out there, just hold out another minute or two. We'll get you patched up."
<IC-Broadband> Amuro Ray says, "Is anyone seriously injured and in need of immediate medical aid?"
It takes several minutes before Ultra Magnus gets the strength together and start to pick himself off the ground. Though his armor is still smoking badly. And then falls off!… Oh wait, that's not broken, he's just ejecting his power armor because of the extensive damages it took, clattering on the ground. Clear of that burden, he starts walking in the direction Lina was hurtled to check on her.

Lina is…Still very much on the ground, prying herself off as she places a hand to her chest, holding her palm against it as she strains to say one word: "Recovery." With a small, soft glow of light, Lina begins to patch herself up a bit via magic. It won't be a full healing to be certain, but hopefully it'll stabilize her condition.
ONce that's done, she looks around, glancing at the aftermath of the explosion. "…Geeze…I didn't even NEED a Dragu Slave…This thing cast one for me practically…" Then, she gets to her priorities, calling out the best she can. A little weak but…Loud enough. "OI! DOES ANYONE NEED ANY HELP?!"

RADIO: You radio Amuro Ray: Yulia concerned, "Um. If Misato needs me later, you call me." Pause. "Please."
… looks like everyone has someone coming to get them. Gaeriel straitens herself out, folding her two pairs of wings behind her and still giving off those Angelic vibes. She's watching everyone with the keeness of a hawk, making sure everyone gets out of there.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'He was. Gendo in Unit 01…crazy, isn't it.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: Quite. From what you've told me of him, he doesn't seem like the piloting type.
Ebon Hawk <Brinna> flies in on the horizon. It flips end over end several times but continues on. It comes down around the area of battle and the bay opens up. The speakers of the Ebon Hawk announce, "Get inside, I'll take you to safety." This point seems to be reinforced by a droid that stands guard at the entrance to the ship and calls out, "Exclamation: Meatbags! You either get inside or die. I really don't care which. And as for those of you that are of superior droid construction, well." it pauses, " Statement: We can bring you too. We will use magnets to do it." The droids stands guard at the entrance to the ship as the speakers emit, "Look. I just want to get you all safe. Get in here. If any of you can't, just make a motion, we'll get you home."
Ultra Magnus pauses when he sees Lina apply a bit of healing to herself. Good thing to, as he gets more bad news over the radio. "Crap." The utterance is simple, but the meaning tremendous, followed by the 'White Optimus' making a dash for the shoreline and diving in. Forget his own injuries, Misato could be in worse trouble.
RADIO: Amuro Ray radios: Understood.
The sea around Nigoki churns as Yulia tries to get them free from where they landed. It wasn't exactly a soft landing. Finally, with an audible squelch of displaced sand, she gets her other arm free. "Okay, I'm ready for pickup," she radios her commander/boyfriend, and the EVA reaches out to lock her arms around the Azieru once it's close enough.
Avel radio's for the Rewloola to move in for a pick-up. The ship does exactly that, hanger sliding open to take in Yulia. Avel looks out and over the damage again, understanding the level of devestation that these angel's could bring. He moves and makes sure Yulia is secure before moving towards the Rewloola.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov with 'I didn't even think he -could-…but who knows what crazy stuff happened in his version of things.'
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: I think he might be worth a face to face. He did help us after all.
Renee, who's a bit marred thanks to too many lasers mixing unkindly with her side and dress, stands just past what was left of the shore. She's watching the Ebon Hawk's approach, but not making a single move for it announcement or no announcement. Renee's eyes close, and as her brow furrows in concentration… the damaged dress seems to be overlaid with a fuzzy image of a whole new one that quickly becomes sharper until lo and behold, the damage is repaired. Thenm outstretching her free arm, a simple parasol forms from thin air which she quikcly twirls about and leans against her shoulder to ward off the sun..
From there, just watching with a confused look on her face.

Gaeriel pauses, standing on a bit of rock that faced an upheaval during Gendo's impact (and thankfully no Tang in sight), and turns her head, head tilted, in Renee's direction. The lower pair of wings flex outwawrds, bird-like before settling back down.
RADIO: You radio Avel Koslov: Yulia chuckles. "Oh if only we had had particle beam cannons instead of those stupid pallet guns."
Meanwhile, those who need help should get it soon. A detachment of medievac and rescue ships are deployed to the area, courtesy of Amuro Ray. It seems the cleanup crew has arrived with them, as well. Their orders? Get medical aid to anyone who needs it, and get emergency repairs applied to anyone who has a heavily damaged unit to ensure they don't have anything like an unwanted explosion occuring.
Aside from that, it seems they're focusing on performing a survey of the area and trying to analyze the post explosion effects.
RADIO: Avel Koslov radios: I think so as well. We were in near perfect synch out there. If only I weren't sick.

Inferno and Bluestreak see to picking up Ultra Magnus' shed power armor and carry it to the Ebon with the rest of clearing people out.
The water burbles and ripples a bit, before Ultra Magnus finally re-emerges from it. With the arm of the quite larger UNIT 00 over his shoulder, using it to drag the large mech onto the shore before finally letting go. And then nearly collapsing himself again, on his knees as several of his joins sparked. That strained already damaged systems, but it was worth it.

Now that the crisis over, the nagging sensation crawling up Renee's spine take full effect. She edgily gazes over at Gaeriel, nibbling on her lower lip nervously, head tilted a little.
It takes a bit more effort than usual to get the Nigoki back in the Zeon flagship's hold, and no, gravity cannot be entirely blamed for that. It doesn't help though. Once close enough, the mech reaches out with one hand, then the other, and pulls herself in.

Unit 01's still around, just pulling itself up, now. Flexing its formerly detached arm slowly. The Berserker mode ran out before it attached properly, but. At least it'd just need work instead of replacement. So there was that. Woot.

Avel docks fully into the Rewloola. He walks over to where Yulia is, nodding towards her. He even looks a lot better than he did, but that could just be the hanger lighting. He sighs, and then slightly leans on the wall, as it seems his fever came back.

Yulia crawled out of the entry plug while the Azieru was being loaded, but her towel is still around her shoulders when Avel joins her. Not that she minds him seeing her in her plugsuit these days, she just hasn't stowed the towel yet. She looks pale and exhaused, but she can still give him a smile when he sits down. The smile doesn't last long though, giving way to a concerned frown as she reaches out to feel his forehead.
