Evangelion - except failed. NERV got its ass kicked, SEELE got its ass kicked. Third Impact was more like Two-Point-Five Impact. The world's messed up — even more so than in the original Evangelion. Terrorist groups, religious nutcases, and probably more than a bit of NERV tech being disseminated among the general public — and possibly being modified to be that much cheaper and that much deadlier. Gotta love capitalism.
